Board Certified Orthropaedic Surgeon

Dr. Kasim graduated from Yale University with high honors in biology as well as Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he also received a scholarship award for studies in Orthopaedic Surgery as well as an NIH grant for research in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Kasim completed a surgical internship at the University of Connecticut then spent four more years there completing his residency training in Orthopaedic surgery. These studies included extensive training in Orthopaedic Trauma as well as Sports Medicine.

Dr. Kasim furthered his training in sports medicine with a year fellowship at the Yale University Sports Medicine Center, where he also served as an assistant Orthopaedic physician to the Hartford Whalers of the NHL. He continued to further his knowledge in Sports Medicine with extensive research that led to him publishing a chapter on knee injuries and treatment in the “Textbook of Sports Medicine” published at Duke University.

Dr. Kasim has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in his hometown of Edison, New Jersey since 1997. He continues to have active interest and expertise in the treatment and surgery for shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries as well as Orthopaedic trauma resulting from work, motor vehicle, or other injuries. He is an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He continues to maintain his membership to the Yale Orthopaedic Association and is a board member of the Newport Orthopaedic Society which deals with the treatment of complex Orthopaedic traumatic injuries.
