Dr. Gregory J. Lane graduated from Haverford College with high honors in Chemistry. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his medical degree from Temple University Medical School. Dr. Lane completed his surgical internship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Lane served two years as an orthopaedic surgery research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lane remained at the Medical College of Pennsylvania to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Lane has the unique distinction of having completed two fellowship programs. He completed an Adult Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Lane then pursued fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery of the knee and shoulder at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Lankenau Hospital.
Dr. Lane has been practicing orthopaedic surgery in Edison, NJ since 1997. He has been the Chairman of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at JFK Medical Center since 2004. Dr. Lane has served on the Club at Woodbridge Medical Advisory Board as the sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery expert since 2000. Dr. Lane also serves as the Carteret High School football team physician. Dr. Lane is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, Jefferson Orthopaedic Society and Middlesex Medical Society.
